Introduction

Welcome to Skylight — virtual Windows desktops built for AI automation. If you’re building automations that need to interact with or control Windows-based apps, Skylight handles the infrastructure, so you don’t have to manage a fleet of Windows machines.

Skylight provides an environment where AI agents can interact with Windows applications like humans do — by clicking, typing, and visually interpreting screens. This allows agents to automate tasks on applications that don’t have APIs or webhooks, including legacy software and other traditional Windows apps.

You can launch fully functional Windows environments in seconds, pre-configured with applications like Microsoft Office, and use our built-in computer-use agent or bring your own. Deploy your first agent in the Playground or grab your API key in the Dashboard and launch instances programatically (see Quickstart).
